The Policy defines the way the ASTROLab collects, uses, and protects the information voluntarily provided by its website users and automatically transmitted by their Web servers. This Policy applies to the entire site astrolab.qc.ca, its app Émergence (available on Apple’s App Store and Google Play) as well as to the products and services offered by the ASTROLab.
The Policy also explains how to change or update your personal information and how to contact the ASTROLab with any questions, suggestions or comments.
The ASTROLab reserves the right, at any time, to change its Policy without prior notice. We recommend that you carefully read our Policy and consult it regularly.

Two types of information are collected on our website:

For the purposes of this Policy, the term “personal information” refers to any information enabling the identification of a person. Any action related to an online booking, subscription, resumé submission, or contact form requires the voluntary transmission of your personal information. The ASTROLab primarily collects this type of information using cookies and pixels (a piece of code that tracks visitors on the website). Cookies are small data files that browsers install on a user’s hard drive when they first visit a website.
Mobile app
Our mobile app Émergence does not collect any data to date.

The user data is collected to allow the ASTROLab to provide services tailored to the needs of its customers, as well as for the following purposes: advertising, analytics, contacting users, interaction with social networks and external platforms, registration and authentication, handling payments, managing contacts and sending messages, remarketing and behavioural targeting.

The contact information voluntarily provided by the users of the ASTROLab’s website may be used for the following reasons: to confirm the requested booking of an activity; to send information about our company’s products and services; to contact them if necessary; to understand their needs; and to determine their level of satisfaction using a survey.
b) Non-personal information

The use of cookies allows the ASTROLab to compile statistics enabling it to analyze its website traffic and create online ads.
Analytic tool
Our company uses Google Analytics to better understand the behaviour of those who use the ASTROLab’s website. We may use this data to improve our website’s structure. Google Analytics also allows us to determine our current or potential clients’ profiles, in order to improve our offer of products and services.
To collect anonymous information and produce statistical reports, Google Analytics may use cookies but without identifying you personally.
Advertising and remarketing
To promote its products and services online and increase traffic to its website, the ASTROLab uses Google Ads and Facebook Ads. These tools use cookies and other technologies to track and analyze data, assess content popularity, better understand the online activities of users and post targeted advertisements (taking into account the user interests, visited websites or demographics). The ASTROLab uses Google Ads and Facebook Ads in order to better meet the needs of its customers and display ads that may interest them.

Advertisting and remarketing
To create advertisements, the ASTROLab uses Google Ads and Facebook Ads. When this information is used for the ASTROLab’s own purposes, it is protected by this Policy. An in-house technician oversees the operation of our server as well as the forms used for our website.
